Two Sun Tears/Buddha on the Moon very limited 7 inch lathe cut (added 07.11.10) The Institute of Spoons is proud to announce the release of a super limited edition package in collaboration with Greengage Sounds. Assembled in a limited edition of 40, each package contains:* one 7" lathe cut record featuring Two Sun Tears (Ian Masters and Cailan Burns) covering a Buddha on the Moon Song ('Losing') and Buddha on the Moon covering a song by Ian ('I'll never dream again') * one silk-screened insert designed by Hunch previously of Osaka * one set of liner notes * one 3" cdr containing both songs recorded from the lathe cut Unfortunately this item is already sold out as it was announced first to members of the Institute's mailing list. Ian sings on new Dive Index album (added 07.11.05) Ian sings a song he co-wrote with Will Thomas on Dive Index's new album 'Mid/Air'. The song is called 'Hoko Onchi'. Available now on the Neutral Music label. Ian sings on new Luminous Orange album (added 07.11.05) Ian sings a song he co-wrote with Rie Takeuchi on Luminous Orange's new album 'Sakuraswirl'. The song is called 'Silver Kiss'. Available now on the Music Related label. Ian joins Luminous Orange again (added 07.02.14) Ian joined Luminous Orange (apart from playing a solo set) in Tokyo last month on the 20th January. They played the jointly composed Silver Kiss (from the forcoming Luminous Orange album on which Ian takes lead vocals) and they also played a couple of old Pale Saints' songs (Babymaker and She Rides the Waves). Photographic evidence here. Ian sings in Brazil (added 07.02.11) Ian's vocal contribution is available on Gerador Zero's excellent Concert for Harp and Notebook. Gerador Zero is a very talented musician from Brasil. Don't take our word for it. Check out his work here. Ian Masters joins Japan's Luminous Orange (added 04.11.07) Ian joined Japan's Luminous Orange for 1 day. He was in the band long enough to join them for a performance at the Ginnan Rock Festival in Osaka on 04.11.06 but left the band later that day due to the fact that the Tokyo based Luminous Orange members couldn't understand his local Osaka Japanese dialect. There are no ill feelings of which we are aware.
